Joshua Roy Earns Personality of the Year Award

Following a dominant season for the Sherbrooke Phoenix, where he led the QMJHL with 51 goals and 119 points in 66 games, Joshua Roy was honored with the Paul-Dumont Trophy prior to Game 3 of the QMJHL’s Conference Finals, awarded to the league’s personality of the year. Roy was recognized for his contributions as an ambassador for the league and for his positive media impact, helping improve the league’s image. The award was extra special for Roy, as his parents were tasked with bringing the trophy onto the ice prior to the game against the Charlottetown Islanders.

Roy earned the honor over finalists Ève Gascon (Gatineau Olympiques) and Nathan Gaucher (Quebec Remparts.
