Joshua Roy Earns Personality of the Year Award

For the second consecutive year, and following yet another outstanding season for the Sherbrooke Phoenix in which he finished 8th in QMJHL scoring with 99 points in 55 games (46 goals and 53 assists) and played a pivotal role in helping Team Canada capture back-to-back gold medals at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship,  Joshua Roy was honored with the Paul-Dumont Trophy, awarded to the league’s personality of the year. Roy was recognized for his contributions as an ambassador for the league and for his positive media impact, helping improve the league’s image. A native of Saint-Georges-de-Beauce, Quebec, Roy set a franchise record for the Phoenix with 12 goals in 14 playoff games, to go along with 12 assists.
