Senators extend Mathieu Joseph with Four-Year Contract

The Ottawa Senators and forward Mathieu Joseph have agreed to terms on a four-year, $11.8 million contract extension, with an average annual value of $2.95 million.

Joseph, 25, was acquired by the Senators in a trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2022. After the trade, the Bolts’ 2015 4th round pick (120th overall) notched 12 points (4 goals, 8 assists) over 11 games in Ottawa, capping off a season where he posted career-bests in points (30) and assists (18) in 69 games.

In 232 career NHL games with Tampa Bay and Ottawa, Joseph, a native of Laval, QC, has tallied 82 points (41 goals, 41 assists).
