Following an impressive preseason, Mathieu Joseph made Tampa Bay’s opening night roster and made his NHL debut at the age of 21. Joseph played 13:50 in a 2-1 shootout victory, contributing 2 shots, 3 hits and 1 takeaway.
This is only Joseph’s second professional season, as he spent last year with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch. He lead the team in scoring with 53 points in 70 games as a rookie.
