Lightning re-sign Mathieu Joseph to 2-year contract

The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed forward Mathieu Joseph to a two-year, one-way contract with an average annual value of $737,500.

Joseph suited up for 37 games with Tampa Bay during the shortened 2019-20 regular season, posting four goals and seven points. He also dressed for 4 playoff games en route to the Lightning capturing the Stanley Cup. The Laval, QC native has hit the ice for  107 career NHL games, all with the Lightning, notching 17 goals and 33 points. During the 2018-19 NHL season, Joseph set career highs for games played (70), goals (13), assists (13) and points (26). He ranked tied for eighth among all NHL rookies for goals.

Joseph, 23, was drafted in the fourth round, 120th overall, at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
