Lafreniere, Spence, Pelletier, Bergeron, Belliveau win 2020 QMJHL Golden Puck Awards

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has awarded Alexis Lafreniere, Jordan Spence, Jakob Pelletier, Justin Bergeron, and Isaac Belliveau Golden Puck Awards in recognition of their excellent performances during the 2019-20 season.

Alexis Lafreniere

The 18-year old Saint-Eustache, QC native took home several prestigious awards. Following an exceptional season where he scored 112 points in 52 games (35 goals, 77 assists) for the Rimouski Océanic, Lafreniere received the following accolades:

Jakob Pelletier

The 2019 1st round pick, 26th overall, of the Calgary Flames had an impressive season, notching 82 points in 57 games (32 goals, 50 assists) – good for 8th in QMJHL scoring – while serving as captain of the Moncton Wildcats.

Jordan Spence

In his second season with the Moncton Wildcats, Spence, the reigning QMJHL Rookie of the Year and 2019 Los Angeles Kings draft pick, took huge strides forward, scoring 52 points in 60 games and was recognized for his strong defensive play.

Named to 1st All-Star Team

Justin Bergeron

The 19-year old Magog, QC native enjoyed a strong season with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and Rimouski Océanic, producing 42 points in 57 games, following up a memorable campaign where he scored 20 points in 19 games en route to capturing the 2019 Memorial Cup with the Huskies.

Isaac Belliveau

Belliveau enjoyed a fine rookie season, scoring 53 points in 62 games (11 goals, 42 assists) while anchoring the backend for the Rimouski Océanic. The 17-year old is eligible to be drafted in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
