Alexis Lafreniere scored two goals, helping Canada roll past Sweden 6-2 to win the gold medal at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Lafreniere was a consistent producer for Team Canada, as he recorded 11 points in just 5 games. Meanwhile, Jakob Pelletier recorded 2 points in 3 games played.
It’s the third consecutive time Canada has won gold at the annual summer under-18 tournament, and the 22nd time in 28 events since 1991.
