Ken Appleby Receives First Career NHL Call-Up with the New Jersey Devils

The New Jersey Devils announced that the club recalled goaltender Ken Appleby from the Albany Devils of the American Hockey League (AHL).

In 30 starts with the club’s farm team, Appleby is 16-13-0 with a 2.54 goals against average and a .905 save percentage. The 6’4” goaltender is in his second professional season with the Devils’ franchise.

Prior to signing with the New Jersey Devils as an undrafted free agent, Appleby played for the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for three seasons and lead his team to a Memorial Cup championship in the 2014-2015 season.
