Joshua Roy Signs Entry-Level Contract with Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens announced on Wednesday that they have signed forward Joshua Roy to a three-year, entry-level contract. Roy was selected by the Canadiens in the fifth round (150th overall) in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The native of Saint-Georges-de-Beauce, QC has enjoyed an explosive season in the QMJHL, ranking 2nd in the league with 92 points (36 goals, 56 assists) in just 50 games for the Sherbrooke Phoenix.

The QMJHL’s former 1st overall pick (2019, by the Saint John Sea Dogs) has tallied 171 points (74 goals, 97 assists) in 145 games with the Phoenix and the Sea Dogs.
