Evan McEneny Plays First Career NHL Game with the Vancouver Canucks

Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced that the club recalled defencemen Evan McEneny from the AHL Utica Comets.

In his first career NHL game, McEneny recorded one shot on goal in just over 15 minutes of ice time versus the San Jose Sharks. The left handed defenseman, 22, appeared in 56 games with Utica this season where he ranks second among defencemen in goals (8) and third in points (22).

The 6-2, 223-pound Hamilton, Ontario, native signed as a free agent on September 13th, 2012. Prior to turning pro, McEneny spent five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Kitchener Rangers and the Kingston Frontenacs.
